The original concept was to create a 1v1, Melee, Capture-the-Flag style Experience in a tightly enclosed arena using Fortnite Prefab assets.
After discovering that color changing floor tiles could be tied to score, My plan for the map became less attacky and more bouncy.

New discovery in hand, I began setting up the scoring devices and win conditions to model the classic game Reversi,

Now, whoever reaches the end of a timed round with the most floor tiles of their color visible wins. Hence "Take the Floor"
I liked the movement of the Shockwave hammer, and the way it lent to multiple playstyles: You could bounce around and cover large distances as the expensive of coverage, you could run and slide, making you more vulnerable to attack.

Maintaining a short respawn timer ensured that there was a legitimate penalty for being taken out, but not one that couldn't be recovered from.
